CIRCLE

A circle is defined as a shape in 2 dimensional plane such that all of it’s points are equidistant from a point called the center of the circle.

A circle is defined as a shape in 2 dimensional plane such that all of it’s points are equidistant from a point called the center of the circle. The distance from center to the boundary (circumference) is called the radius. The distance twice that of the radius is called the diameter.

A circle is the most regular shape in two dimensions. The need of just one measurement to define a circle makes it the most basic shape of all. This combined with its uniformity in all directions makes it most important shape in sacred geometry where it is believed to be the source of all creation.

The length of the circumference is calculated as 2πr, where π is an irrational constant approximated in rational terms as 22/7, r represents the length of the radius of the circle.
