Astronomical unit (Au)

A measurement that is based on the average distance of the Earth from the Sun.

Roughly 150 million km, this scale is traditionally used to define large distances, such as those in the solars system. However, a more accurate scale is provided by analyzing the minimum, mean and maximum orbital distances of Mercury.

In our courses about solar geometry, we use a variety of different planets to set various scales that define the relationship of different planets to each other. This is the major difference between exploring the universe through Sacred Geometry (Metaphysics) and Science. Geometry employs a variety of scales and tries to find a relationship between different aspects of reality. This is possible as all Sacred Geometry is explored without measuring.
